Where I come from, we say that
rhythm is the soul of life,
because the whole universe revolves around rhythm,
and when we get out of rhythm,
that’s when we get into trouble.
–Drummer / Healer Babatunde Olatunji
Healing and resilience come as we find our own rhythm anew.
I help people cultivate good health, restoring wellbeing even in the midst of the pandemic. Using the deep wisdom of Eastern medicine, drawing from the rhythms of the natural world, we care for your body, heart, mind and soul.
I grew up in a military family with PTSD (or, more gently, “post-traumatic stress response”). Bouts of chronic fatigue emerged in my mid-20s, which developed into digestive problems, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. In my 40’s Eastern medicine came as a revelation: with personalized care restoring my energy and resolving a host of symptoms.
Healing is my life’s work, caring for congregations and more than 1,000 people professionally over 25 years. Attending Princeton Theology Seminary, I focused on caring for people through life cycle transitions. That work blossomed into studying Holistic Medicine at the Maryland University of Integrative Health and through serving a community acupuncture clinic in Nepal.
When not in the clinic, I’ll be Sacred Circle dancing with my wife, hiking with my daughter, or hands-deep in clay enjoying the rhythm of the pottery wheel.
I deeply listen to you to develop a personalized care plan for you. Modalities include Botanical Medicine, Acupuncture, Zero Balancing, Cupping, Gua Sha, and more.
I specialize in sleep restoration, trauma healing and men’s health.
Your session can be online or in person. I serve people coming from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Washington DC.
